Verdict

Our verdict

This is the upgrade question every growing Sage 50 shop eventually asks. Stay on Sage 50 while you are one entity with inventory and job costing needs a desktop ledger can serve. Move to Intacct the moment you open a second entity or a board starts asking for a monthly close that does not depend on a spreadsheet stitched together by hand, because that is precisely the problem dimensional accounting and automatic consolidation solve. The jump is real: Intacct has no published price and the deployment is a project, not a subscription click. Nobody makes this move for fun, only because the spreadsheet finally broke.

Written from the reviews on both products. No vendor saw this before publication.
