Overview

What is Freshsales?

Freshsales sits in a gap that turns out to be crowded with buyers: teams who need more than a visual pipeline but who are not going to hire an administrator. It has built in phone and email, AI lead scoring, workflow automation and multiple pipelines, at a price that a sales manager can approve without a business case.

Built in communication is the differentiator

The phone is part of the product. You buy a number inside Freshsales, calls are logged against the contact automatically, and recordings sit on the record. Most competitors make that a third party integration and a second bill. For an inside sales team this single decision removes a whole category of admin.

Email is two way synced with sequences on Pro, so follow up runs itself and the reply lands back on the deal.

The pricing ladder has one big step

Free covers three users with contact management. Growth is 9 dollars per user per month billed annually and is genuinely usable. Pro jumps to 39, and that jump is where most teams land, because sequences, multiple pipelines and territory management all live there. Enterprise is 59.

Going from 9 to 39 is more than four times the price, so plan against Pro rather than being seduced by the Growth number, unless you are certain you need nothing on that list.

Where it frustrates people

Support is the most consistent complaint. First response times stretch, and the answer is often a knowledge base link before a person engages. For a product this affordable that is arguably the trade, and it is still the thing reviewers raise.

The wider Freshworks suite is a mixed blessing. If you also run Freshdesk it is genuinely joined up. If you do not, you will periodically hit a feature that assumes you do, and the marketing automation is thinner than a dedicated tool.

Reporting is good rather than deep

The marketing side is basic list email and simple journeys. Next to a real marketing platform it is not a comparison, and we run Mailchimp alongside it.

Thank you for the feedback and we are sorry about the response time on your ticket. That is not the standard we aim for. Please reply to your ticket requesting escalation and it will be routed to a senior engineer.

Support is the weak point by a distance

First response took two days and asked me to restate the problem I had already described in detail. When we finally reached a technical person they were good. Getting there took a week on an issue that was blocking our team.

FAQ

We have the answers

Pricing

How much does Freshsales cost?

Freshsales starts at $9 per month. There is a free trial, so you can test it before you pay. The pricing section above breaks down every plan. Prices are shown in US dollars, which is how the vendor lists for both US and Canadian customers.

Integrations

What does Freshsales integrate with?

Freshsales connects with Freshdesk, Gmail, Microsoft 365, Slack and 3 more. Confirm the specific integration you depend on with a trial account before you commit, since depth varies more than a logo wall suggests.

Local fit

Does Freshsales work for businesses in the US and Canada?

Freshsales serves businesses in both the United States and Canada, and nothing about it is country specific in the way accounting or payroll tools are. Pricing is listed in US dollars, which is the vendor's real list price on both sides of the border.

Reviews

What do users say about Freshsales?

Freshsales holds 4.1 out of 5 across 219 verified reviews, and it scores highest on value for money. The rating is computed from those reviews and cannot be edited by the vendor. Read the full archive to see the pattern behind the number.
