Powerful for groups, overkill for one company
Sage's investment is visibly going into Intacct. Sage 300 works and is supported and I would still want a straight answer about five years from now before I signed another term. Ask the question and get it in writing.

Canadian GST, HST and PST handled natively

Split web and desktop experience confuses users

We are sorry the implementation extended beyond plan. Data migration scope is the most common cause, and your Sage partner is best placed to review the specifics with you.

Quoted six months, took fifteen. Data migration was the bulk of it and most of that was our fault. The rest was scope discovered late by a partner who should have found it in discovery. Ask hard questions about discovery.

Six subsidiaries, three currencies, and the consolidation runs without a spreadsheet in the middle. I used to lose the first four days of every month to that. There are not many products at this price that can honestly make the claim.

Solid, but where is it going
If you run one company in one currency, this is far more product than you need and Sage 100 or Intacct will serve you better. The multi entity story is the reason to be here.

The interface is dense and the terminology is old, and every new hire in finance needs weeks not days. Over five years the training cost has quietly exceeded a chunk of the license, and it never appears in any comparison.

GST, HST and provincial PST are native rather than a plugin, which reflects where this product came from. As a US parent with Canadian operations that saved us a second system.
