Canadian tax handled natively, not bolted on

GST, HST and provincial PST are native rather than a plugin, which reflects where this product came from. As a US parent with Canadian operations that saved us a second system.

Six entities consolidated without a spreadsheet

Multi currency revaluation is correct and automatic. Our auditors tested it hard in year one and stopped looking in year two.

Powerful for groups, overkill for one company

Our partner is good so our experience is good. That is genuinely the whole story with Sage mid market and it should be on the box.

The web screens have improved and coverage is incomplete, so users bounce between a browser and a desktop client depending on the task. Nobody enjoys that and it makes training harder than it should be.

Training is a genuine cost nobody quotes

Quoted six months, took fifteen. Data migration was the bulk of it and most of that was our fault. The rest was scope discovered late by a partner who should have found it in discovery. Ask hard questions about discovery.

Partner dependent, like everything Sage

Sage's investment is visibly going into Intacct. Sage 300 works and is supported and I would still want a straight answer about five years from now before I signed another term. Ask the question and get it in writing.

We are sorry the implementation extended beyond plan. Data migration scope is the most common cause, and your Sage partner is best placed to review the specifics with you.
