Virtual cards for the vendors who accept them earn us rebate on spend that used to go out as a check. It is not a huge number and it is more than the subscription.

Payment timing is not instant

The sync depth depends entirely on which accounting product and which edition you run. Ours needed the Corporate plan to sync properly, which was a materially different price from the one I had budgeted. Confirm your exact edition before signing.

Pros

Mobile approval keeps travelling owners off the critical path

ACH payments settle on their schedule, not immediately

Response from the vendorSep 29, 2025

We appreciate the feedback on payment timing. Delivery windows vary by payment method and we know that is not always clear at the point of scheduling. Our support team can walk through the timing for your specific vendors.

Approvers counting as users is a racket

Support used to be quick and knowledgeable. Now it is a queue and then a script. I had a sync error that took eleven days and three agents, and the resolution was something the first agent should have known.

Centralized inbox removes invoices from personal email

Per user pricing is steep for a small finance team

Our vendors email one address and it just works

We went through a review and the auditor asked for approval evidence on a sample of forty payments. It took about twenty minutes because every approval is timestamped against the invoice with who did it. That used to be a genuine scramble through email.

Per user pricing is the sting

Forty nine dollars per user per month adds up fast when finance is four people. We are close to two hundred a month before a single bill is paid, and the price has gone up at renewal both years. It works and I resent the invoice.

Approvals stopped happening by text message

The two way QuickBooks sync is the real thing rather than an export. Bills, payments and vendor records stay consistent both directions and I stopped reconciling between two systems, which was the whole problem I was trying to solve.

Setting up approval policies, roles and coding rules took a solid week and it is not interesting work. Once done it runs itself. Nobody warned me the configuration was the project.
