It knows the tax rules so I do not have to
Our auditors used to spend a day on fixed assets. Now they pull the schedule, tie it out and move on. Genuinely shortened the audit.

Form 4562 comes out correct every time
Separate books for GAAP and tax from one asset record is the entire reason to buy this. Before, we kept two schedules and they disagreed by a few thousand dollars every single year and nobody could say why.

The initial import ate a week
Support is fine if you already know depreciation. If you are the office manager who inherited fixed assets, the answers assume knowledge you do not have and you will end up asking your accountant anyway.

Thank you for the feedback. We know the initial import is the hardest part of onboarding and our professional services team can assist with data preparation. Please reach out to your account manager if you would like help.

Support assumed I was an accountant
I understand it is a mature product but the interface has genuinely not changed in ten years. Onboarding anyone new means sitting with them for a full day, and that cost is real even if it does not appear on the invoice.

We ran depreciation in Excel for nine years and I always half suspected it was wrong. It was. The first reconciliation after we moved found errors going back four years. This product paid for itself in the first month just by being right.

Priced through a partner, which is annoying
