No training, no setup, just working

It is deliberately simple and that is why it works. Every time I have been tempted by something more powerful I remember that people actually use this one.

Pros

Nothing to configure and nothing to maintain.

Cons

There is no meaningful cross project reporting.

The right amount of tool

I introduced it on a Tuesday and the warehouse team was using it correctly by Thursday. No training session, no manual. For a team that had rejected every previous tool, that is the entire review.

Pros

The free tier has unlimited cards and is genuinely usable.

Cons

It will not scale with a growing team, and you will have to move.

No training, no setup, just working

We track our hiring pipeline on the free tier. Candidates move across the board, everyone sees where things stand, and it costs nothing. A dedicated recruiting tool would cost hundreds a month to do the same job worse.

Pros

Perfect for a defined flow: hiring, a content calendar, a punch list.

Cons

Boards past roughly 200 cards become hard to navigate.

Hit the 10 collaborator limit and had to pay

The free workspace caps at 10 collaborators and we grew past it mid project. Suddenly a tool we had built a process around needed a real budget line. The limit is documented, it just arrives at the worst moment. Plan for it rather than discovering it.

Pros

The free tier has unlimited cards and is genuinely usable.

Cons

It will not scale with a growing team, and you will have to move.

Free tier runs our whole hiring pipeline

We track our hiring pipeline on the free tier. Candidates move across the board, everyone sees where things stand, and it costs nothing. A dedicated recruiting tool would cost hundreds a month to do the same job worse.

Pros

Power-Ups extend it without complicating the core.

It will not scale with a growing team, and you will have to move.

Butler automation handles our repeated card work. It is more capable than it looks and took twenty minutes to set up.

Pros

The free tier has unlimited cards and is genuinely usable.

Cons

Free workspaces cap at 10 collaborators.
