Multi state withholding it gets right

Beti puts the paycheck in front of the employee before the run closes and asks them to check it. Our post payroll corrections went from a couple of dozen a cycle to almost none, because the person who knows their hours are wrong is the person now looking at them.

Pros

Multi state withholding and reciprocity handled correctly

Cons

Support quality drops noticeably after implementation

The price depends on your negotiation

There is no published price so you cannot benchmark without doing the work. We got quotes from three competitors first and used them, and I am confident we pay less than a similar company that did not. That is a strange way to buy software.

Pros

Reporting across the entire employee lifecycle

Cons

Implementation fees arrive after the rate is agreed

Beti cut our payroll corrections to almost none

We replaced an applicant tracking system, an HR system, a payroll provider and a time clock vendor. The integrations between those four were a permanent tax and they are gone.

Pros

A true single database across payroll, HR, time and talent

Cons

Implementation fees arrive after the rate is agreed

Complex time rules it can actually express

Everything reads and writes the same employee record. No nightly sync, no reconciliation between the HR system and the payroll system, no arguing about which one is right. For eleven hundred people across nine states that architecture is worth real money and it is genuinely rare.

Pros

Replaces several systems and the integrations between them

Implementation fees arrive after the rate is agreed

Beti cut our payroll corrections to almost none

Our time rules involve union schedules, shift differentials and premium overtime. Paycom expresses all of it. Two other vendors in the evaluation told us we would need a workaround.

Pros

A true single database across payroll, HR, time and talent

Cons

Leaving is a long and deliberately difficult process
