Too much system for a hundred people
Every meaningful change needs someone who knows the platform. We do not have that person, so every adjustment is a partner ticket and an invoice. The flexibility everyone praises is only real if you can afford to use it.

Thank you for the feedback. Sage People is designed for organizations with complex, multi country requirements, and we recognise it is not the right fit for every size of business. We are sorry the cost expectations were not clearer and encourage you to raise this with your account team.

Powerful, and priced like it
You get Salesforce's configurability and you get Salesforce's release cycle, its admin overhead and its way of doing things. If you already live there this is a gift. If you do not, it is a second platform to learn.
Pros
Genuine multi country policy and compliance handling

Headcount reporting used to be three spreadsheets that never agreed. Now the number comes out of one system and finance and HR stopped arguing about it.

Four countries, one org chart, one system
Every HR product we trialled wanted us to change our process to match its assumptions. This one bent to ours. That flexibility cost us months of implementation and it was the right trade for an organization our size.

Our admins were productive immediately
We have people in the US, Canada, the UK and Ireland with four different leave regimes and four sets of rules. This is the first system that holds all of it without a spreadsheet on the side. That was the entire reason we bought and it delivered.

It does what we needed and it cost roughly forty percent more than the original quote once implementation and the partner were counted. That is apparently normal for this tier and I would still like to have known.
