Free until we hit fifty thousand, then twenty dollars
Multi currency is included rather than gated. We invoice a Toronto client in Canadian dollars and a London one in pounds, the exchange rates update automatically, and the gain and loss postings are right without me thinking about them.

It grew with us from two people to eleven
We ran the free plan for the whole first year because we were under the revenue threshold. Not a trial, not a countdown, just free until the business was big enough to pay. When we crossed it the paid plan was twenty dollars. That is a very different experience from being pushed off a cliff at day thirty.

Our accountant pushed back hard at first because she is a QuickBooks person. She spent a month in it and now says the reporting is better. She still charges us slightly more for working outside her usual system and it is worth it.

I kept waiting to find what was missing
The workflow rules are the part nobody mentions in comparisons. When an invoice goes thirty days past due it tags the customer, emails a reminder and notifies me, and I built that in about ten minutes without help. That single rule has done more for our cash flow than any conversation I have had with a client.

The client portal was an accident of buying it and turned out to be the thing customers comment on. They log in, see every invoice and statement, and pay by card without emailing me for a copy. I used to spend an hour a week resending documents.

Our accountant came around in a month
We came off a spreadsheet and expected to compromise somewhere. Two years in I still have not found the compromise. Bank feeds are stable, reconciliation rules learned our vendors, and the reports my accountant asks for come straight out. For twenty dollars a month I keep expecting the other shoe.

Support answers slowly and generically
First reply took two days and asked for information I had already sent in the original ticket. The second reply was a help article link. We got there eventually and for a blocking issue during a close that was a bad week.
