Nine years, no missed filing, no penalty. It is not exciting and the interface is ugly. I do not need payroll to be exciting.
Pros
Handles complex cases: garnishments, unions, certified payroll, multi state.
Cons
Canadian payroll is a separate ADP product on a separate contract.

Nothing has gone wrong in nine years
Certified payroll for our construction contracts is not something the newer tools do properly. ADP does it, correctly, every week. That narrowed our options to about two vendors and this is the one that answered the phone.
Pros
Handles complex cases: garnishments, unions, certified payroll, multi state.
Cons
Pricing is quoted, negotiable and opaque, so identical customers pay different amounts.

It works, you just pay for everything
The payroll is solid and the software feels fifteen years old. Every screen is a form and nothing is where you would guess. Once you learn it you stop noticing, but nobody enjoys using this.
Pros
A named account contact is available on the higher service tiers.
Cons
Cancelling is materially harder than signing up.

Cancelling took two months
Deciding to leave was the easy part. Getting out took two months, three phone calls and a written notice, and we were billed through a period after we had stopped using it. Signing up took fifteen minutes. That asymmetry is deliberate and it is the thing I would warn people about.

Quoted price and real price were different
The sales quote did not include year end processing or W-2 delivery, both of which are unavoidable. Our real annual cost was about 30 percent above the number I budgeted from. I have since learned that everything here is negotiable, which means my neighbor pays less than me for identical service.

It works, you just pay for everything
Every question seems to have a fee attached. Year end has a fee, W-2 delivery has a fee, a report we wanted had a fee. The base price was competitive and the real price was not.
Pros
General ledger export works with every major accounting platform.
Cons
Add on fees for year end and W-2 delivery are not in the initial quote.
