Our reseller knew our industry, configured it around how we actually work, and the project came in near the estimate. I have since learned how unusual that is.

New staff take about two months to become useful. The screens are dense and the terminology is from another era. Once they are through it they are fast, but the ramp is real.

The cloud version is a hosted desktop
The single most important decision is your partner, not the product. Same software, wildly different outcomes. Ask for references in your industry and actually call them, because Sage will not implement this and whoever does becomes your experience of it.

A lot of ERP for a small manufacturer
The modular thing is real. We are a distributor so we took inventory and purchasing and skipped work orders entirely, and the license reflects that. Every cloud ERP wanted to sell us the whole suite.

Good ERP, long onboarding
Anything past the standard reports means Crystal Reports or a third party tool. That was not in the original quote and it is a real ongoing cost. Budget for it before you sign, not after.

Thank you for the feedback. Sage 100 is delivered through our partner network, and we take reports about implementation experience seriously. Please contact us with your project details so we can review what happened.

Our implementation partner sank the project
Our first reseller configured it wrong, left mid project, and we paid a second firm to redo most of it. Eighteen months and roughly triple the budget. The software was never the problem. The channel was, and nobody warns you how much of your outcome rides on it.

Support escalation took three weeks
We had a posting issue that stopped invoicing and it took three weeks to get to someone who understood it. Three weeks. For a system that runs the business that is not acceptable.
