Our whole team is in it, not just finance

The reconciliation screen is the best thing about it. Statement on the left, your records on the right, match and move. I trained a new hire on it in about twenty minutes with no manual.

Pros

Unlimited users on every plan. Our whole team has access without a per seat bill.

Cons

Reporting is less flexible than QuickBooks once you need something non standard.

Unlimited users changed the maths for us

The audit trail is thorough. Every change is attributed and timestamped, which made our first real audit far less painful than I had braced for.

Pros

The audit trail records every change with a name and a timestamp.

Cons

US market share is small enough that some accountants charge extra to work in it.

Unlimited users changed the maths for us

Coming from a cluttered competitor, the clarity is a relief. Everything is where you would guess it is. Our bookkeeper was skeptical about the change and is now the loudest advocate for it.

Pros

The reconciliation screen is the clearest in this category. New staff learn it in a day.

Cons

There is no phone support. Everything is email and the reply usually lands the next day.

Switched from QuickBooks and did not look back

Five people touch our books and every one of them has a login at no extra cost. Under our old system that was three paid seats and a shared password. That alone made the switch worth it, and the software turned out to be better too.

Pros

The audit trail records every change with a name and a timestamp.

Cons

The Early plan's 20 invoice cap is too low to be useful for most businesses.

No phone support when it actually mattered

We had a reconciliation problem three days before a filing deadline and there is no number to call. Email support answered the next morning, politely, and did not solve it. For a finance system, no phone line is a real gap.

Inventory, projects and expense claims are included rather than upsold.

US market share is small enough that some accountants charge extra to work in it.

Good, if you can find an accountant who uses it

Genuinely nice to use, but be clear that payroll is not included. We run Gusto alongside it, which works fine but is a second bill and a second system to keep straight.

Reporting hits a ceiling

The reports are pretty and shallow. Anything beyond the standard set means exporting to a spreadsheet, which is exactly what we bought software to stop doing. Our old system handled this better.
