Flexible enough to make a mess
Give it to a team with no conventions and in six months you have forty boards, duplicated data and no idea which one is current. That is not a bug, it is what flexibility costs. Someone has to own it.
Pros
Boards are visual and obvious. Adoption is the easiest of any tool here.
Cons
Without an owner, flexibility becomes board sprawl and duplicated data.

We built exactly what we needed in an afternoon
We run production scheduling, hiring and a client pipeline on it. Three tools replaced with one, and each board took under an hour to build.
Pros
Unlimited free viewers means stakeholders can watch without a seat.
Cons
Seats sell in blocks of three, so a four person team pays for six.

Flexible enough to make a mess
Plans sell in blocks of three seats. We are a four person team so we pay for six. That is a 50 percent premium for existing at the wrong headcount and it is not obvious on the pricing page.
Pros
Boards are visual and obvious. Adoption is the easiest of any tool here.
Cons
Cross board reporting is weaker than the marketing implies.

The first tool our whole team adopted
Our operations director does not open project software. She opens the monday dashboard every morning because the status is obvious at a glance. That alone justified the seats.

Everything useful is one tier up
The marketing implies you can report across your whole workspace. In practice cross board reporting is limited and awkward, and the dashboard widget limits by tier are restrictive. We ended up exporting to a spreadsheet, which is what we were trying to escape.

Automation action limits per tier are lower than you would expect.
