Time tracking included is the whole argument

The same work renders as a list for me, a board for the designers and a Gantt chart for the client. Nobody has to work the way someone else prefers, which quietly removed a recurring argument.

Pros

It genuinely replaces a project tool, a time tracker and a docs tool.

Cons

The workspace, space, folder, list hierarchy is more structure than most teams need.

Slow on a large workspace

They ship constantly, which sounds good until a feature we depend on changes behavior without warning. Twice in a year a regression broke a view we use daily. Both were fixed within a week. If you want boring reliability, buy something else.

Pros

The free tier has unlimited tasks and unlimited members.

Cons

The breadth means you will never use most of what you pay for.

More product than the price suggests

Native time tracking on a plan this cheap is the reason we chose it. Our old stack meant a second tool and a monthly reconciliation.

Pros

The same work renders as list, board, Gantt, calendar or workload.

Cons

The workspace, space, folder, list hierarchy is more structure than most teams need.

Great value, real setup cost

Everything is configurable, which means everything must be configured. Plan on a couple of weeks before the team is comfortable. The payoff is there, the on ramp is not gentle.

Pros

The value against Asana or monday at the same headcount is not close.

Cons

The breadth means you will never use most of what you pay for.

Slow on a large workspace

Our workspace has a few thousand tasks and pages take a noticeable moment to load. Not unusable, just constantly slightly slower than everything else we run. At this price I accept it, but I notice it every day.

Pros

The value against Asana or monday at the same headcount is not close.

Cons

The breadth means you will never use most of what you pay for.

Time tracking included is the whole argument

We were paying for Asana, Harvest and Notion. ClickUp does all three adequately for less than any one of them cost. Adequately is doing work in that sentence, and for an agency our size the consolidation is worth the rough edges.
